Why We Can’t Reverse Manual Payments
We understand that sometimes you may want to undo a payment — especially if it was made earlier than planned. However, when it comes to manual payments, it’s important to know that these transactions involve multiple deliberate steps and require your authorization at each stage.
Because of this, it’s very difficult to prove that an error occurred.
So, What Happens if You Make a Manual Payment by "Mistake"?
Unfortunately, we’re not able to reverse a manual payment simply because you changed your mind or need the funds back.
The only time we can process a payment reversal is when:
The order is canceled, and
The merchant issues a refund.
In those cases, we deduct the refund amount from the funds we’re due to settle with the store. It’s a standard process that ensures fairness to both you and the merchant.
Why Can’t You Just Reverse the Payment?
We often hear:
"Isn’t it easy to just reverse the payment without involving the store?"
In theory, yes — but in practice, no. Here's why:
Once a payment is made, we’ve already paid the merchant.
Reversing your payment means the merchant is now out of pocket.
This can lead to unnecessary complications — and even disputes.
Also, PayJustNow is free for you to use — no interest, no fees. Behind the scenes, processing reversals adds a lot of admin and cost, which we try to avoid to keep the service simple and affordable for everyone.
